How many Ford Focus RS MK3s were made?

So I was driving to the supermarket with my younger brother (who happens to be a car-head), when this hot hatchback scooted and bobbed and weaved through traffic like a giant gnat on fire. I loved it, but I’ve never seen that car before! My brother informed me that that was a Ford Focus RS MK3, and that it is not built anymore. I loved it, but I’ve never seen it before. You’re little brother is indeed right—the Ford Focus RS MK3 is no longer made, and just over 34,000 were produced worldwide during its run from 2016 to 2018.
During its last year of production, only 1,000 of these hot hatches were sold in the U.S.—and they likely made about 1,000 drivers very happy, with their explosive acceleration, terrific all-wheel drive bite, and barrels-of-fun drift mode.
The 2018 Focus RS MK3 sported a 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine with 350 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, along with a taut 6-speed transmission. This

is at home on both the track, where it excels on corners, and gravel roads, where its all-wheel grip conquers non-pavement with ease. It’s even a suitable hatch for the winter. That said, the interior feels like a
Focus
(that will be familiar to you), with rock-hard seating and cheap interiors. But this ride is all about the experience, not the comfort.
