How can you fix wind noise in a car window?
I recently purchased a used car and noticed that there’s a lot of wind noise coming from the window when driving on the highway. Is there a way to fix the wind noise in my car?

Having a noisy cabin in your car is never fun and can get annoying very quickly! Fortunately, stopping the wind noise in your vehicle is relatively simple and doesn’t require expert knowledge.
To fix the wind noise in a car window, you should:
- Locate the source of the noise by driving around and carefully listening to determine which window is at fault. Having a passenger with you may make this a bit easier.
- Inspect all the doors and window seals for any weather stripping that looks damaged or worn out. A faulty seal is the typical culprit of wind noise in your car.
- Replace any worn-out or damaged weather stripping. Replacing the weather stripping is simple and requires you to pull out the old stripping, wash away the old adhesive, and install a new strip. You can purchase replacement weather strips online or at most auto shops.
If all the seals and weather stripping look tight, you may want to install wind deflectors to help with the noise. Some cars are just simply noisier than others, but wind deflectors can help. A wind deflector kit is easy to install and can be purchased online or at most auto shops.
