How many electric cars are in Maryland?
I really believe that EVs are perfect for commuting around Baltimore, my city. However, I don't see that many on my day-to-day commute. I hope this changes, but for now, I'd love to know how many electric cars are in Maryland?

Not to worry, you might start seeing more EVs shortly. As of 2021, Maryland is home to roughly 12,000 electric cars.
For Marylanders, electric cars are soon becoming a more affordable and simpler option than regular fueled cars. Recently it was reported that there are just over 12,000 electric cars registered in the state.
That may not sound like much, but
Maryland
has high ambitions to put 300,000 electric vehicles on the road by 2025. Those goals came after entering a nine-state agreement to encourage electric car adoption. Luckily for the state, stakeholders and the utilities have made proposals to help support the state’s emissions targets. This support comes in the form of helping to build charging infrastructure.
The future’s looking good for residents of Maryland who are thinking of going electric. It’s best to start preparing yourself for all that comes with owning an electric car, like making sure you have the right car insurance policy.
