How many driving while suspended charges can you get?
How many times can you get a driving while suspended charge? I’ve never gotten one, I’m just wondering what would happen if someone continued driving after getting caught driving with a suspended license. If they were already driving knowing that they didn’t have a license, why would they stop after getting caught?

You’re right that someone who has been caught driving with a
suspended license
has shown a clear disregard for the law! While you can get three to five driving while suspended charges before losing your license in most states, you’ll typically have your license revoked if you have multiple offenses within a year.It’s also important to note that, in most states, the consequences become more serious after your first offense. Driving while suspended is a misdemeanor in most states, but the charge can be upped in class or, in some cases, upped to a felony if you’re convicted multiple times. This means heavier fines, a longer jail sentence, and significantly higher insurance rates.
Simply put, most people won’t risk multiple driving while suspended charges because they’re so expensive and have such an impact on your criminal record. Even if someone does get multiple driving while suspended charges, their license will typically be revoked after the third charge.
