While the exact number varies from source to source, the consensus is that less than 4,000 Dodge Dakota convertibles were made throughout its production.

That production period was a short window from 1989 to 1991. A soft-top convertible pickup wasn’t the most practical option for someone needing a durable worksite truck, but it could’ve been a fun option for a trip to the beach or a slow Sunday stroll around town.
