Most car batteries have a rating of 48 amp hours. This means that the battery can deliver 48 amps for one hour. For most vehicles, this is enough to get your car started.
However, if you live in

or another cold-weather state, you should also consider other measurements, including:- Cold-cranking amps
- Cranking amps
- Reserve capacity
These measurements are a more accurate representation of how good the battery is at starting, even in adverse weather conditions. The higher the cold-crank amps and reserve capacity, the more reliable your battery will be.
