How many air filters does a car have?

I've read that you need to change your car's air filters every once in a while, but I didn’t know that cars have more than one filter! How many air filters do most standard cars actually have?

Cars generally come with two air filters: One for the cabin and one for the engine. While the cabin filter keeps the air inside your car clean, the engine filter maintains a steady airflow in your engine.
Typically, both the engine and cabin filters should be changed every 15,000 to 30,000 miles. If it isn’t already there, you should put replacing or cleaning your air filters on your
maintenance schedule
. Dust in the cabin can cause allergies, discomfort, and even mold—while a clogged engine filter could limit your car’s performance!
