Can a car pull a travel trailer?
I’m planning on going on a road trip across the country. My parents offered to get me a travel trailer to help carry all my supplies. I only have a Honda Civic and don’t want to rent a truck. Could my car pull a travel trailer?

Your road trip sounds like a lot of fun! Luckily, your car can pull a travel trailer as long as it doesn’t exceed its towing capacity or weight restrictions.
Although most people don’t associate
Honda Civics
with travel trailers, it’s entirely possible for this sedan to pull one. To pull a trailer safely, you’ll need to look at its weight capacity to ensure it’s not over the limit your car can handle. You’ll also need to install a towing hitch to your car. A Honda Civic has a towing capacity of 850 to 1,000 pounds. That said, Honda doesn’t recommend using your car to tow anything and it can void your warranty by doing so.
You’ll want to do your research before deciding to tow something with your Civic. There’s a lot that could potentially go wrong, especially if you’re on the open road for an extended period of time.
