- 60 days in jail
- Up to a one-year license suspension
- Up to a $1,000 fine
Since you were going 40 mph over the speed limit, expect to get a minimum license suspension of 60 days if it’s your first offense. However, you may be able to plead guilty to a lesser charge with the help of an attorney.
