How long does it take to receive a claim payout from a car insurance company?
My car was totaled in an accident a month ago. Luckily I'm unhurt, but my car is definitely not okay. I submitted a claim to my insurance and they approved it—but it's been a few weeks and I'm still waiting. I do need my car for work—so how long will it take to receive the payout?

car insurance company
. In most cases, you should receive your claim payout within 30 days. If it’s approved and you have a car loan, your insurance company may be coordinating with your lender for the payout. Coordinating between companies for payment may take time, since any money leftover will go to you.
If you’re concerned about the timing, you should reach out to your car insurance company—someone in the claims department may be able to give you a better idea of the timing, and can also inform you if any additional information is needed on your part to speed up the process.
