How long does it take to get new tires put on?

My car tires need to be replaced, and I have been putting it off because I can’t really afford to be without my car for very long. The last time I went for repairs, I was without a vehicle for a week! How long does it take to get new tires put on a car?

I totally get where you are coming from! I don’t know what I would do without my car for a whole week. It takes roughly 45-60 minutes to get new tires, once you have selected the tire that is right for your car.
In that time, the mechanic will:
  • Inspect the lug nuts, valve stems, and other applicable parts
  • Mount and balance the new tires on your wheels
  • Tighten the lug nuts to the manufacturer’s specifications
  • Reset your car’s tire pressure warning system
