How long does a car battery last without driving it?
I'm about to go on a vacation for a few months and am not planning on driving my car. Will my car battery last while I’m gone?

Most car batteries need to be started every so often to stay alive. Typically, a new and fully charged battery can last for around two to three weeks without needing to be recharged via a generator. After approximately two to three months, this battery will fully discharge, and it’s unlikely you’ll be able to start the engine without a jump.
If possible, it isn’t a bad idea to have someone check on your car every couple of weeks to keep the battery working. They would simply need to turn on your car and run the battery for 10-15 minutes to allow the alternator to recharge the battery.
In case that doesn’t happen, you may need some help starting your car, and a roadside assistance membership can help provide that service.
