How long do electric car tires last?
EVs have the regenerative braking feature which is great for the battery, but what effect does it have on the tires in the long run. How long do tires last on an electric car?

Great question, this is one we get a lot. Electric car tires are said to wear out a little bit faster because the vehicle is so heavy and the electric motor has strong instant torque action.
There is one major caveat—get the proper tires for your EV. Electric vehicles are much heavier than traditional fuel engine cars so if the tires are not properly adjusted, they will wear out much faster. Tesla tires are reported to last anywhere from 20,000 to 40,000 miles depending on the terrain and driving habits.
One great benefit to the electric motor is the torque it provides. However instant acceleration and braking can take a toll on the tires. With such a heavy vehicle to pull from a full stop, the aggressive acceleration and braking systems can put a lot of stress on the tires.
