"I'm waiting on a check from work, which is running late. I want to know how long I have before my policy will be canceled."

“Depending on where you live,
Progressive
has a grace period of about 10 to 20 days. If you didn’t make your payment on time, you should receive a notice with the final payment due date before your policy is canceled.
If your policy ends up being canceled, you can ask your insurer to reinstate your policy once you pay your past-due balance.”
