My car was broken into. I haven't gotten my window repaired yet and my friend suggested I submit a claim to my insurance. It happened two weeks ago. How long do I have to file a car insurance claim?

state you should submit your claim immediately, you typically have 30 to 60 days to do so. Since your claim is for a broken window, confirm that you have full glass coverage or
comprehensive coverage
on your policy.Both coverages would cover a broken window claim, as long as your comprehensive deductible is less than the cost of replacing the window.

policy declaration page
or call your insurance company.
