How far back do employers check driving records in Texas?

How far will my driving record go back when my potential employer checks my record? I had an accident back in college that was my fault and I’m worried it could cost me a job.

Generally, your employer won’t check your driving records before hiring you in
Texas
unless the total salary for the position is over $75,000. If this is the type of position you’re applying for, employers check driving records in Texas as far as your 18th birthday.
Since Texas driving records typically only go back three years, it’s unlikely that your employer will see many older charges unless you have something like an expunged DUI on your record. Additionally, it’s unlikely that your employer will be overly concerned about your driving record unless the job you’re applying to involves a lot of time behind the wheel—so try not to stress too much over an old car accident.
Even if your record doesn’t affect your employment opportunities, it will affect your

rates. Luckily, the
