How easy is it to remove someone from your insurance?

I recently broke up with my girlfriend. I need to remove her from my insurance policy. How can I do that? Is it hard?

“It isn’t difficult to remove someone from your
car insurance
policy. You’ll just need to call your car insurance company and let them know. Once you do so, your car insurance company may re-rate your policy. This is because changing any information on your policy might impact your rate.
If you have a good driving record and your ex-girlfriend did not, your rate will likely decrease. Conversely, if you don’t have a good driving record and your ex-girlfriend did, your rate may increase. If you and your ex-girlfriend were rated similarly on your policy, removing her will cause no change.
Should you remove your ex-girlfriend and are unhappy with your new rate, you can shop around. You may be able to find more
affordable car insurance
with another carrier after removing her from your policy.
