How does social responsibility figure into the electric car debate?

I know with things like volunteering at food banks donating blood or even recycling, corporate responsibility plays a factor. In fighting climate change through the use of EVs, how does social responsibility factor into the electric car debate?

Great question! Social responsibility plays a pretty large part in the debate since one person with a zero-emissions vehicle can’t fight climate change alone, but if many people make the switch there is a larger chance to help the planet.
Social responsibility is the responsibility each individual has to cooperate with others in society in order to benefit the larger community. The key thing is that whatever the goal is, it can’t be accomplished in isolation. Such as with EVs and climate change.
Many countries are attempting to persuade people to purchase EVs through incentives and rebate programs in order to reduce overall emissions.
In order for the strengths of emissions-free vehicles to be best seen, many if not most people need to drive the cars. This brings up the issue of affordability: not everyone is able to readily afford an EV or integrate it smoothly into their lifestyle. Manufacturers are trying to lessen the costs of emissions-free and hybrid vehicles to make them more accessible to all.
