How do you winterize an electric Club Car golf cart?
I’m thinking about buying an electric Club Car golf cart for personal use, but I live in an area that has pretty severe winters and I want to make sure I’m able to properly winterize it. How do you winterize an electric Club Car golf cart?

The battery pack in an electric golf cart is going to be very sensitive to the cold, so winterizing it is going to be essential to keeping it in great condition.
First, you’ll need to secure some kind of insulated shelter or
garage space
for your golf cart. If that is not an option, invest in a high-quality cover
. Once you have that secured, you can start the winterizing process by doing the following:
- Clean the entire golf cart with soap, water, and degreaser.
- Inspect the brakes and check for any damage
- Check your tire pressure
- Disconnect the battery cables and clean and neutralize the battery terminals. Coat terminal connections with anti-corrosion gel.
- Check the batterywater levels. If any of the cells are low, open up each fill section and top it off with distilled water.
- Remove and store the charged battery somewhere cool and dry.
- Park your cart and set the transmission switch to neutral.
