I have an unfortunate habit of locking my keys in my smart car, and it’s getting a little out of hand. Is there any way to unlock a smart car without a key?

Lockouts can be frustrating, but try not to worry! There are plenty of ways you can get back in the car. While they may look different, you can unlock smart cars with the same methods you’d use for any other car!
That said, you can use these methods to unlock your smart car without a key.:
Shoelace. Pry the door open as much as possible. Then, tie a small loop in a shoelace and gently slide it through the crack. Once it loops around the lock button, give it a quick, firm pull.
Coat hanger. Pry the door open as much as possible. Then, twist a coat hanger into a hook and slide it into the gap you created. From there, try and get it around the lock. Then, give it a pull!
Call a locksmith. You can also just call a locksmith and have them solve the problem for you! They’ll likely charge between $50 and $150, but it’ll be worth it to safely get into your car.
