How do you reset the oil life of a Honda Accord 2007?
Is there a way for me to reset the oil life in my Honda Accord from 2007? It’s been on for a few days and it’s really annoying.

It can certainly be frustrating to have a new light show up on your dash. If you haven’t already, though, you should definitely
visit a shop
to get your oil changed. The mechanic will reset the oil life indicator in your 2007 Honda Accord
for you. Getting your oil changed is really important to the health of your engine, especially if your indicator is showing low oil.If you want to reset the oil life yourself, however, here’s how to do it:
- Turn the ignition to RUN, which is one click before starting the engine.
- Press the SELECT/RESET knob in the instrument cluster until you see the engine oil life indicator.
- Press and hold the SELECT/RESET knob for 10 seconds, or until the engine oil life indicator and the maintenance code starts to blink.
- Release the SELECT/RESET knob, then press and hold it for five seconds, or until the maintenance items code disappears and the engine oil life returns to 100%.
- To ensure that the indicator has reset, turn the ignition off and back on.
