How do you reset Bluetooth in a 2016 Ford Fusion?
My older sister just moved to a new, not-so-driving-friendly city, so she gave me her old Ford. I love the car, but I’m having trouble pairing my phone with Bluetooth. Can you tell me how to reset Bluetooth in a 2016 Ford Fusion?

! Bluetooth pairing is one of the more annoying parts of driving a used car
. But, luckily, it’s also an easy fix! Here’s how to reset Bluetooth in a 2016 Ford Fusion:
- Turn on your Fusion’s infotainment system by pressing the power icon on the volume control knob.
- On the button panel above the volume control knob, press “phone.” The screen should read “no phone paired.”
- Directly below the infotainment screen is a button panel with four navigation arrows and an “ok” button in the center. On this panel, press the down arrow until the infotainment screen displays “Return.” When it does, press the “ok” button.
- This will bring to a submenu, one of the options of which is “Advanced.” Select “Advanced” using the “ok” button below the screen.
- Keep pressing the down arrow until “Master Reset” is displayed on your screen, then press the “ok” button twice.
Your 2016 Ford Fusion is now yours for customizing! And, for future reference, if you run into any trouble with Bluetooth connectivity, you don’t necessarily have to do a full “Master Reset.” Instead, you can do a “SYNC Reboot,” which is your vehicle’s equivalent of every IT department’s favorite solution: turning something off and turning it back on again to resolve any issues.
To do a “SYNC Reboot,” follow the same steps as above, but select “SYNC Reboot” from the Advanced settings submenu instead of “Master Reboot.”
