Does Iowa offer an electric vehicle rebate?
I’m about to move to Iowa for school and I’m curious about how I can save money while I’m there since I won’t have a job during the school year. Will I get a tax rebate for having an electric vehicle?

While you won’t necessarily get a tax break for owning an electric car, you could definitely save some money by purchasing a new electric vehicle.
Iowa
offers up to a $500 rebate on EV purchases, and MidAmerican Energy offers customers an additional $500 rebate for buying an electric car.It’s important to note that, while the Iowa state rebate will apply to plug-in electric vehicles, the MidAmerican energy rebate will not. If your main goal is saving money, you’ll want to get an electric car rather than a hybrid car.
