How do you remove the back seat in a Honda Accord?

Is there a way to remove the back seat in my Honda Accord? I’m getting ready to move and it would save me a lot of money if I could put things in the back of my car instead of renting a truck.

Yes, you can use your
Honda Accord
for your move! Here are the steps you’ll need to follow to remove the backseat in your Honda Accord:
  • Make sure that the seat is all the way forward, then pull down on the release latch to fold it down.
  • Pull back the seat assembly so that you can fold down the seats.
  • Using a trim removal tool, remove the rivets holding the carpet around the seat in place.
  • Pull back the carpet, so you can use a socket wrench to unscrew the bolts holding the seat frame in place. There should be two sets of bolts on either side of the seat.
  • Then, you should be able to remove the seat bracket. If your Accord has electronic seats, you’ll need to disconnect the battery before you do this to protect yourself from electrical shock.
  • Once you’ve done this, you should be able to lift the seat out through your car door.
