Yes, you can remove clear coat without damaging the paint. Here’s how.
- Soak 400-grit sandpaper in water.
- Tape off delicate surfaces of the vehicle that you don’t want to affect.
- Wet sand the clear coat thoroughly.
- Then, dry-sand it.
- Rinse the sanded car off, and polish the sanded portion.
- Finish by cleaning off the polished area well.
