How you remove a headlight from its socket will depend on what type of vehicle you drive and how the headlight is connected.
In some vehicles, the headlight bulb will be secured in its socket by metal clips. In this case, just remove the clips and slip the bulb out.
In other vehicles, the headlight bulb seems securely wedged into the socket with no connectors. For these, gently turn the bulb counterclockwise or wiggle back and forth until it comes free.
Other vehicles use small screws to keep the headlight bulb in place, so you’ll need to take the screws out to remove the bulb. Looking at your replacement bulb should give you an idea about how your old bulb needs to come out of its socket.
