How do you open the key fob for a Nissan Altima?
The battery died in my car’s key fob and I need to open the fob to replace the battery. How do you open up a Nissan Altima key fob?

And luckily, opening your Nissan Altima key fob can be completed in a few minutes—all you will need is a small screwdriver! Follow the steps below to open your key fob:
- Flip the key fob over and find a small switch on the back
- Push the switch down to remove the physical key from inside the key head
- Put your screwdriver into the slot at the top of the fob and twist it to pop the fob open
- You can then use your screwdriver to remove the battery from inside the key fob and replace it with a new one
