How do you open the gas tank on a 2006 Infiniti G35?

I’m traveling for work for a few days and I’ve rented a 2006 Infiniti G35 to make it easier to get around the city. The problem is I can’t figure out how to open the gas tank. Any idea how to open the gas tank on a 2006 Infiniti G35?

Figuring out how your rental car works can be a pain, especially if it holds up your schedule. The 2006

has a tricky gas tank if you’re unsure how to open it. Follow these steps to fuel up in no time:

Step one: Make sure your Infiniti’s doors are unlocked. The gas tank will not open otherwise.

Step two: Find the fuel door near the rear bumper on the passenger’s side of the car.

Step three: Press the front center edge of the fuel door to make the fuel door pop open.

Step four: Unscrew the fuel cap underneath to access your gas tank.

And that’s all there is to it! Make sure you screw the fuel cap back on, close the fuel door before leaving the gas station, and avoid waiting for your fuel gauge to reach “E” before fueling up. This will prevent fuel-related roadside troubles in the future.
