If you have a Terrain with the SLE-1 trim and want to figure out whether your car has Bluetooth, you can look at the instrument panel on the dash for a button that reads “CONFIG” or “Phone.” If you have either of these buttons, press them and then use the MENU knob to select “Phone Settings.” If you have these buttons and your car allows you to select “Phone Settings” from the menu, your Terrain SLE-1 is outfitted with Bluetooth! Simply follow your car’s prompts on the screen and ensure that your phone’s Bluetooth settings are on and that your phone is discoverable.
If you don’t have Bluetooth in your Terrain, you can’t simply add this function onto your stock OEM radio. Still, you can purchase an aftermarket stereo with Bluetooth capabilities to install into your Terrain instead. These aftermarket stereo kits cost anywhere from $60 to $800, so this is a fix that can fit practically any budget. You can install aftermarket stereos at home with ease, or you can have your local auto shop install it for you for a small fee.
