How do you open a Pontiac G6 hood?
I’m new to driving and don’t know how to pop the hood on my car. How do you open the hood on a Pontiac G6?

- Find the hood release lever on the driver’s side of the cabin
- The lever will be on the bottom left of the dashboard
- You will know it’s the correct lever by the open hood icon
- Once you find the lever, pull it to pop the hood
- Walk around to the front of the car
- The hood should be slightly ajar
- Slide your fingers under the hood and feel for the safety catch
- Push the safety catch to the right and lift up on the hood
- Raise the kickstand and insert it into the grooves on the outer edge of the hood
- Doing so will keep the hood open while you work
