How do you make your Rocket League car gold?
So my husband likes to unwind with video games after a hard day’s work. He likes playing Rocket League, the vehicular soccer game, but he’s been literally tearing his hair out because he can’t figure out how to paint his car gold. How do I make a Rocket League car gold?

Car fiends, unite! And video game freaks, too (though I’m partial to The 7th Guest, haters be damned).
Making your Rocket League car gold is super simple—and you don’t need any mods! Just follow these steps for a wicked cool golden hue:
- Create a New Preset
- Select Customize Car
- Select Paint Finish—you’ll only be able to do this on the Orange Team, as the Blue Team doesn’t have a color palette amenable to a golden paint job
- Put both paint finishes (Primary and Accent) on Anodized Pearl
- For the Primary Color, from the bottom left, move three boxes to the right and one box up and select the color
- For the Accent Color, from the top left, go four boxes to the right, then down four boxes and select it
- And there you have it—a gold Rocket League car!
Once you have your golden color (and your husband stops ripping his hair out), you can gently let him know that he can also customize his car’s wheels, as well as add rocket boosts to his ride. Good times!
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to drive your gold Rocket League car in real life, but whatever ride you drive in three dimensions, make sure it is protected with a robust
