How do you make car exhaust louder for free?
Loud cars are pretty popular in my area, but my car’s pretty quiet all around. What’s the best way to make my car exhaust louder for free?

Some people spend thousands of dollars to make their cars louder—so looking for free options definitely limits what you can do. That said, you can use these three methods to make your exhaust louder:
- Remove the muffler. The muffler makes your car much quieter than it would otherwise be. Taking it off will instantly make your car much louder.
- Putting a hole in your exhaust system. Drilling a hole in the right pipe can let the exhaust make some noise before it reaches the muffler.
- Unclog exhaust tubing. Sometimes the system will be too quiet when it’s plugged up. Check to see if your exhaust is clogged, and take out any debris to make it louder.
