How do you jump start a car by yourself?

What’s the best way to jump start a car if I’m alone? It’s been cold and my battery has been acting up because of it. I don’t always have a spare car to help me in case my battery freezes.

Brr! I know it’s been chilly! And I completely understand your concern.
Car batteries do tend to act up in extreme temperatures, like
cold weather
, and if your car battery is on the older side, then it’ll most likely need a jump start here and there.
Fortunately, you don’t always need to have someone there with you to do so. To jump start a car by yourself, you’ll need a jump box (aka battery pack).
A jump box/battery pack carries enough energy to jump start your vehicle. All you have to do is attach the cables from the box to your vehicle, just like you would if you were connecting it to another car. In a few minutes, your car battery will have recharged enough to turn your vehicle on—and you’ll be good to go!
Usually, these handy boxes cost between $50 to $60 to purchase, but if you want to save time and money, I would try
Jerry
. Jerry’s roadside assistance membership gives you access to industry-leading roadside assistance—including jump starts, towing, lockout service, and more—for as little as $4.16 a month!
