Can my boyfriend kick me out of his house?
So, my boyfriend, who I’ve lived with for almost two years, just kicked me out of the house. Is it legal for my boyfriend to kick me out of his house?

Oh no! I’m so sorry—that sounds like a truly awful day! As for if your boyfriend can legally kick you out of his house, the answer is maybe.
Since you called it his house, I’m assuming that the deed is in his name and his name only. In some states, that entitles him to kick anyone off the property any time he wants (unless they’re law enforcement and have a warrant). In other states, like California, he would have to go through the entire official eviction process to remove you. Some states just require him to give you written notice several days in advance.
You’ll need to look up the state laws on the matter for whichever state you happen to be in. Of course, either way, that doesn’t sound like a living situation that you’re likely eager to get back to.
