I really need a license so I can get to work on my own. I’m not old enough to get one yet, but I heard that in Texas you can apply for a hardship license to get your license early. How do I get one?

, you’ll need to satisfy the following requirements:
  1. Meet eligibility requirements, such as suffering from economic hardship due to your lack of license
  2. Complete a driver education course
  3. Have a parent or guardian sign the application
  4. Pass the driving test
  5. Submit a completed ​​Impact Texas Teen Drivers (ITTD) form
  6. Submit any necessary identifying documents
  7. Pay the fee, which ranges from $16 to $25
If you complete all of these requirements, bring all necessary forms and papers, to your local DMV office to apply for your hardship license.
