Trick question, really—the Infiniti QX30
was made in Sunderland, England, but that stopped in 2019, after the QX30 was discontinued. Its engines were assembled in Germany, as the platforms and powertrains were supplied by Mercedes-Benz
. Produced from 2016 through 2019, the QX30 is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV, based mainly on the Q30 hatchback but with a higher ride height in order to be classified as a crossover.
The late QX30 was a looker in its day, and turned heads with its concept car-like styling and sporty demeanor. The Sport trim was fierce, with a front-wheel drive and a low center of gravity along with a 208 horsepower engine that propelled it from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 6.2 seconds. Even if the QX30 didn’t feel ridiculously fast, its easy throttle (especially at low rpms) made this crossover a delight to drive around town.
The QX30 also came with a finely-trimmed cabin, including a standard leather-wrapped steering wheel and leather coverings on the dash and center console. Ambient interior lighting, open-pore wood trim, and faux-suede headliner were reserved for the upper Luxe and Sport trims.
