How do you fix scratches in a plastic car interior?
When we were camping last week on our road trip I somehow caused multiple scratch marks in my plastic car interior, what should I do?

! You can fix scratch marks with a plastic scratch polish kit or a heat gun and sandpaper.Scratch polish kits can be purchased online or at stores that carry auto maintenance products. The kit should have directions that you can follow.
If you already have sandpaper and a heat gun, you can fix the problem without the kit:
- Clean around the scratches with a car interior cleaner that’s safe for use on plastics.
- Remove all dirt and debris with a microfiber cloth.
- Use a heat gun at medium power to evenly heat the plastic until it softens. Be sure to look at the directions on your heat gun before starting, and don’t keep it going for too long—you don’t want the plastic to burn. Stop once the plastic starts to look slightly glossy.
- Let the plastic cool and harden.
- Use fine sandpaper to lightly sand down the area until the scratch is smoothed out.
- Clean the area one more time with your interior cleaner and microfiber cloth.
