I walked out of a doctor's appointment this morning and couldn’t find my car. Such a scary feeling! I think it was towed, but I'm not sure where to check. What’s the best way to find out where a car was towed?

“Discovering your vehicle is missing is definitely scary!
To find out where your car was towed, you should start by asking the lot owner which towing company they use. In this instance, we assume your doctor’s office owns the lot, so the receptionist may know the name of the towing company.
From there, you can contact the towing company directly to work out how you’ll retrieve your car.
If you were towed by the city, you can usually go online and check their towed vehicle locator website. You’ll need to input either your vehicle identification number (VIN) or license plate number to look up your car, but it should be an easy process.
If you don’t know either of those numbers, it’s worth dialing 311. This will take you to your city’s information hotline. They can likely help you find your car if you provide your name,
