I hear you, streaming your favorite playlist in the car is non-negotiable. Luckily, you can connect Spotify to your car through a USB or AUX cable or via Bluetooth.
Start by locating the AUX or USB outlet in your car—it’s usually inside the center console or below the air temperature controls on the dash. Depending on which one you have, (some cars have both), plug in the respective cable to connect your mobile device to your car.
Turn on your stereo, set the input to the USB or AUX setting, and open Spotify on your phone. When you play a song through the app, it should come through your car speakers.
The other option is Bluetooth, which is a wireless connection. Do not configure your Bluetooth settings while driving! Messing with your settings as you drive puts you at risk for an accident.
When your car is parked, go to the settings menu and click the Bluetooth option. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your phone settings and go into the menu. You should see the make of your car as one of the connection choices—click on that option.
Once your phone is paired with your car’s Bluetooth, open Spotify. The music should play through the sound system of the car.
Good tunes are just one way to feel at home in your car. Setting yourself up with a great car insurance
policy is another. Want to find the best price?
