How do you clean Tod’s driving shoes?
I come from a driving family and I’ve been behind the wheel for about as long as I can remember on our family property. I recently turned 21, and my dad bought me a pair of suede driving shoes as a present. The shoes are my prized possession, but I also want them to last as long as possible. What’s the best way to keep Tod’s driving shoes clean?

Tod’s are great driving shoes! If you want to keep them in tip-top condition, you’re going to need to gather a few cleaning materials and follow the tips below.
You’ll need:
- Terry cloth rag
- Suede cleaner
- Rubber cleaning stone
- Suede brush
- Water-repellent spray
You can clean, restore, and protect your shoes by:
- Putting the suede cleaner on the terry cloth rag and applying it to the entire shoe
- Letting the shoes dry for about 10 to 15 minutes
- Using the rubber cleaning stone to remove any additional dirt or grime
- Gently rubbing the shoes with a suede brush to restore the nap (the fibers of the suede)
- Spraying the water-repellent aerosol directly onto the shoes and letting it dry for 15 minutes
- You’re done!
