I’m a novice when it comes to changing oil, I admit it! How do you clean an engine oil spill on concrete?

Spills can happen to the best of us! For a fresh oil stain, you should be able to
remove the excess oil
and
clean up the remaining oil
with some dish soap and a scrub brush.
For older stains, you can try:
  • Strong detergent
  • Concrete cleaner
  • Degreaser
If you’ve spilled a lot of oil, kitty litter is a household item that can be used to absorb that excess oil.
As you’re working with oil, it’s important to be mindful of how you’re handling it and disposing it. For more information on handling used oil at home, you can visit the EPA’s website.
