How do you change the license plate bulb on a 2016 Jeep Renegade?
I drive a 2016 Jeep Renegade. I recently noticed that the little light that illuminates the license plate is out. Is there an easy way to fix this? What do I do to change the license placate bulb in my Jeep?

Nice catch! In most states, you can get a ticket if your license plate bulb (also called your tag light) is out—so you just saved yourself some time, money, and aggravation!
using a **flathead screwdriver or a plastic pry bar. Just make sure you have the correct replacement bulb.
To change the bulb, start by inserting a flathead screwdriver gently under the left edge of the license plate bulb housing. You need to locate and push in the retainer clip that holds the assembly in place.
Once the clip is released, you can pull the assembly away from the trunk door.
Gently** twist the black plastic bulb socket counterclockwise** to remove it from the housing.
Pull the used bulb straight out of the socket, and replace it with the new bulb. Make sure the bulb is pushed in all the way. Replace the socket, and reassemble the light housing.
