How do you activate the lane departure warning on a BMW?
I just bought a new car a few weeks ago, but I lost the owner’s manual (long story). In any case, I’m setting out on a road trip and want to use some of the safety features my car came with. How do you activate the lane departure warning on a BMW?

! You didn’t indicate which model your have, so here are some general steps you can try to activate the lane departure warning on a BMW:- First, locate your touch screen controls
- Then, tap/select car and then select settings
- Next select Driver Assistance followed by Safety and Warnings
- You should see a scroll bar at this point. Look for either Lane Assist or Lane Departure Warning and click on that
- Finally, select On
Look for a green car icon within two parallel lines on either side, which will likely be located on the upper-left hand side of your dashboard screen to see if it has been activated successfully. Be aware, however, that the lane departure will not engage unless you’re traveling more than about 43 MPH.
