There is no internal release button or lever to open the fuel door. You can’t do it from inside the vehicle. Instead, you have to go outside to the fuel door and press on the outside. It will pop open and then you can fuel up.
To close the door, simply press the fuel door closed firmly until it latches.
Be aware that the car has to be unlocked to be able to access the fuel door by pressing it. This is a security feature to prevent bad actors from doing damage to your fuel system.
Modern vehicles tend to trend away from interior toggles for gas tank. This provides a sleeker design and reduces the chances that someone will accidentally pop the fuel door while driving.
