Your dad is right! For minor blemishes on your paint, nothing works better than genuine Honda
touch-up paint. Not only will it match exactly, but it’s also easy to use! To use genuine Honda touch-up paint, shake the pen to ensure the paint mixes, use a small amount on the affected area, and protect it with clear coat.
Since you already purchased genuine Honda touch-up paint, you’re almost ready to go. The only other things you need are blue painter’s tape and a rag.
Once you have the tape, rag, and touch-up paint ready, follow these steps to make your car paint look like new:
Walk around the exterior of your vehicle and put a small piece of tape next to each of the blemishes on your car.
Once you’ve double-checked you have everything marked, shake up the pen.
Unscrew the top of the pen to use the paint brush inside.
Use a small amount of paint on each blemish, avoiding giant globs of paint.
Wipe away any excess paint with the towel.
Let the paint dry for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Apply the clear coat and let it dry for 30 minutes.
Remove the painter’s tape.
In some cases, the chips and dings might be too deep or too large for you to properly fix them with a touch-up pen. In this case, consult a body shop for their opinion or an estimate of the damage.
