. The maintenance light is a service indicator to let you know to get an oil change or you’ve reached a particular mileage where service is due.If you’ve recently had an oil change or
maintenance
performed, you may need to reset the light manually.- Step one: Insert the key into the ignition. Turn it to the ON notch, but don’t start the car.
- Step two: Turn the engine off by turning the key to the OFF notch.
- Step three: Locate the odometer reset button on your dashboard and press it.
- Step four: Continue to hold down the knob as you turn the ignition back to the ON notch.
- Step five: Once 10-15 seconds have passed, you should see the light turn off.
That’s it! You shouldn’t see the light blink until you bank another few thousand miles.
