The daytime running lights also known as DRL in your Subaru are a safety feature that increases visibility during dusk and dawn but you can turn them off by following these steps:
- Press your parking brake until it clicks once
- Locate the power distribution box in your Subaru
- Remove the DRL fuse
- Cut the ground wire that connects to the DRL bulbs
