How do I turn off lane assist on a BMW 330i?

I just bought a used BMW 330i and I love it so far! However, the lane assist feature has automatic steering and vibrating that I find super annoying. The seller didn’t have the owner’s manual, so I’m at a loss. How do I disable lane assist on a BMW 330i?

While BMW’s driver-assist systems are intended to keep you safe, lane assist gets poor marks from many drivers simply due to its jerky motion of the steering wheel. In many cases, drivers find it more dangerous than safe. To turn off the lane assist on a BMW 330i, use your touch screen and the following steps:
  • Select Car
  • Select Settings
  • Press Driver Assistance
  • Press Safety and Warnings
  • Scroll down to Lane Assist or Lane Departure Warning (varies by year)
  • Turn lane assist or lane departure warning to Off
And that’s all there is to it. Keep in mind that you’re going to need to remain vigilant while you drive when you turn this feature off.
While lane assist is designed to protect you, the only surefire way to protect yourself and your vehicle is with the right
