How do I reset the maintenance light on a Honda Civic?
The maintenance light on my 2017 Honda Civic Sport Touring keeps coming on, despite the fact that I had it in the shop less than a week ago. How can I turn off the maintenance light on my Civic?
Typically, you’ll only have to reset the maintenance light on a Honda Civic if your mechanic forgot to restart the oil life indicator after an oil change. So, to fix the oil life indicator and get rid of the maintenance light, follow these steps:
Keep your foot off the brake and press the push-button start twice.
From the home screen or touchscreen display, select settings.
Select vehicle.
Select maintenance info.
Choose reset selected items.
Press engine oil.
Choose reset.
This should get rid of the maintenance light. If it doesn’t, go back to the reset selected items menu and choose the other items on the list (assuming that you had them serviced). You can also return to the mechanic or a Honda dealership to inquire about the light if it remains on.
