Toyota Tacoma
is as easy as getting behind the instrument panel. Here’s how you do it:
- Disconnect the negative battery lead. Use a wrench to loosen the clamp around the negative terminal just enough to allow you to shimmy the black cable out.
- Use a flat pry tool to remove the trim pieces surrounding the HVAC control panel from inside the car.
- Using a small wrench, remove the mounting fasteners and pull the HVAC control panel from the dashboard.
- Turn the burnt-out bulb counterclockwise and remove it by pulling straight out.
- Insert the new bulb into the holder and turn clockwise to refasten.
- Set the HVAC control panel back into the dashboard, apply the fasteners, and reassemble the trim panels.
- After you reattach the negative battery terminal, you’re all done!
